What is a price mismatch in Merchant Center?
WeAdU · Updated 5 October 2026
In Merchant Center, a price mismatch is a gap between the price attribute in the product data and the price on the landing page once that page has loaded. The help names this issue mismatched product price, and the product may be disapproved.
What does it not name?
The price is the amount submitted for the item. The sale price is the amount during a promotion. A price mismatch is the case where the product data and the landing page do not agree. Cost of goods sold is the cost, not the price the shopper sees.

What does the help say?
According to the help page read on 31 October 2026, Googlebot compares the price attribute with the landing page, or with structured data when that markup is present. If they differ once the page has loaded, the product may be disapproved. The crawler reads the HTML from the server. A price added with JavaScript after the load does not count, and the HTML price must match the upload. Disapproved products are crawled again over the following hours or days and can be approved again if the prices match. Google does not raise the crawl rate when the domain is already at capacity.
Some submitted prices differ from the website, which can lead to an account suspension. The page names a delay with Merchant Center, structured data that does not match, a price or currency the crawler does not see, a wrong sale date or time zone, and a minimum quantity whose total is not the submitted price. During a sale, the sale price is the price shown. Submit the same price and currency as the page, in the currency of the target country, or the prominent one if several are shown. Edit the product in the account, or correct the source and upload it again. A website check can be requested. This page does not present that check as a WeAdU setting.
Where does the gap show in a file of several brands?
In a multi-brand file, each row keeps its own price. A mismatch on one colour or one size stays on that row. The item group id does not equalise prices. The price entry, linked below, defines the attribute. This entry defines the mismatch.
