What is the link in Merchant Center?
WeAdU · Updated 5 October 2026
The link attribute `[link]` is the landing-page address of the product in Merchant Center. An unavailable page, or an image, belongs to another attribute.
What does it not name?
The unavailable product page entry is about a page Google cannot open. The link attribute is the address itself. The photo lives in the image link. The mobile link `[mobile_link]` is for a page built for the phone, and the ads redirect `[ads_redirect]` only comes into play on a click from a Shopping ad.

What does the help require?
As of the help page read on 13 October 2026, every product needs this link. The address starts with http or https, on the domain already verified in the account, and Google has to be able to crawl it. The shopper sees the product without creating an account and without signing in. There is one address per product: if several links are submitted, only one is applied. The page has to work on desktop and on mobile, even when a mobile link is also submitted.
Who lands where?
If only the link is submitted, desktop and mobile both land on that page. When an ads redirect is set, a click on the Shopping ad goes there, while a click on the free listing stays on the link, or on the mobile link when one is submitted. The address should stay stable from one upload to the next, and it should already open the right variant. ValueTrack parameters do not go in the link or the mobile link. They go in the ads redirect. The free listing entry, already published, describes the placement. This entry describes the address.
Where is the catalogue already described?

What does the WeAdU audit cover?
On the homepage, read on 5 October 2026: "The free audit covers Google Ads only." No Google Ads account figure here.
